Are Underlying Conditions Linked to COVID-19 Mortality Rates as a Result of Poor Glycocalyx Health?

Discovery Breakthrough Opportunities
Underlying chronic conditions can be deadly for people with COVID-19. Answers are needed now. So it’s vital to find solutions quickly, and we’d like to remind you that GlycoCheck could play a role in COVID-19 research. In fact, some of our research partners have already begun testing COVID-19 patients with GlycoCheck.
The underlying chronic conditions cited most frequently in COVID-19 deaths are high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, kidney disease, and poor respiratory health, especially for people over the age of 60. Another fact is that a disproportionately high number of African Americans are dying of COVID-19.
Dozens of published peer-reviewed research studies from around the world link underlying chronic conditions as a result of capillary damage to a single hidden problem: a damaged endothelial glycocalyx.
And that research is being done using GlycoCheck.
We can’t reveal the details yet, except to say that soon there will be still another new peer-reviewed research study published–in addition to the 63 that have been published–that continues to tell the story of how a damaged endothelial glycocalyx is linked to underlying chronic conditions. I’ll let you know when it’s published.
If you are among those already using GlycoCheck, would you please tell us what you are researching now?
If you don’t have GlycoCheck, whether you’re a researcher at a hospital or university, or a healthcare practitioner, having GlycoCheck in your facility to measure Microvascular Health Scores can be game-changing.
