Genesis Health Sciences exists because of a simple conviction: the microvasculature — the vast network of small vessels where blood actually meets tissue — is where health is won or lost. Everything our companies do is aimed at making that system measurable, restorable and provable.
At the centre of the family are two organisations. The GlycoCalyx Research Institute, established in 2012 by Dr Hans Vink and Robert Long, advances the science of the endothelial glycocalyx and develops the ReVasca™, ReCelyx™, and ReMyolyx™ nutraceutical lines. GlycoCheck brings the GlycoCheck™ measurement system — invented by Dr Vink — to clinics, hospitals and universities across the United States.
GlycoCalyx Research Institute

Established in 2012, the Institute is dedicated to education and training on the endothelial glycocalyx and the microvascular system. It maintains a library of peer-reviewed research, teaches practitioners and the public, and develops nutraceuticals formulated to supply the building blocks of a healthy glycocalyx.

GlycoCheck™
Clinical measurement technology
GlycoCheck is the American home of the GlycoCheck™ system — a non-invasive, Class I medical device that films the capillaries under the tongue and computes a MicroVascular Health Score in under five minutes. It gives clinicians an objective way to see microvascular and glycocalyx health, track it over time, and show patients their progress.

Dr Hans Vink, PhD
Co-Founder & Chief Science Officer
Internationally recognised vascular scientist and a pioneer of endothelial glycocalyx research. Hans has spent more than two decades advancing our understanding of the glycocalyx and its role in microvascular health — work behind more than 160 peer-reviewed publications, validated by over 300 medical and research institutions worldwide.
Robert (Bob) Long
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
For more than 15 years Bob has worked alongside Hans to turn glycocalyx science from academic research into practical clinical tools — helping physicians, researchers and healthcare organisations implement GlycoCheck™ and build a category of medicine centred on objective measurement of vascular health.
Together, Hans and Bob have spent more than fifteen years building GlycoCheck™, ReVasca™ and the Glycocalyx Research Institute into one of the world’s leading organisations dedicated to endothelial glycocalyx research, education and clinical implementation.
