ReVasca™ vs Arterosil HP® vs Endocalyx™ Pro

Comparison · ReVasca™, Arterosil HP® and Endocalyx™ Pro

From the scientists who started the glycocalyx category.

Dr. Hans Vink’s research first showed the glycocalyx in living capillaries, and has been cited more than 19,000 times. He developed GlycoCheck™ to measure it. With Robert Long, he took GlycoCheck™ into research hospitals around the world, built the Microvascular Health Score, and set out to answer the question that came next: what do you do about it? ReVasca™ is their latest answer. Here is how it compares with Arterosil HP® and Endocalyx™ Pro, fact by fact.

  • 19,133 citations
  • 184 published glycocalyx papers
  • 2012 GlycoCheck™ in research hospitals since
  • MVHS the Microvascular Health Score

At a glance

What $99.95 gets you

One bottle, one month, at about the same price as either competitor — with more in the serving and third-party testing behind it.

Two products’ worth of support in one bottle

Glycocalyx building blocks plus nitric-oxide support. Calroy sells those as two products, at $151–168 a month.*

About three times the blend of Arterosil HP®

2,750 mg a day against 900 mg, at about the same price per bottle.

The highest-grade ingredients

85% fucoidan verified by certificate of analysis, standardized ViNitrox®, and about three and a half times the antioxidant enzymes of the last Endocalyx™ formula we made.*

Third-party tested

Informed Sport certified, in capsules and drink mix. Neither competitor lists Informed Sport certification.

Why ReVasca™

Six reasons, in short

  1. From the team that built the category

Measure it, then support it. GlycoCheck™ measures the glycocalyx; ReVasca™ supports it. Both come from Dr. Hans Vink and Robert Long. No other glycocalyx supplement in this comparison comes from the people who built the way to measure it.*

  2. One bottle, not two

ReVasca™ supports the glycocalyx and nitric oxide in the same bottle for $99.95. Getting both from Calroy takes Arterosil HP® plus Vascanox HP®: $151–168 a month.*

  3. More in every serving

A 2,750 mg proprietary blend of seven actives a day, about three times the 900 mg in a day’s Arterosil HP®, at about the same price per bottle.

  4. Verified quality

Fucoidan at 85%+ extract strength, confirmed by certificate of analysis. Informed Sport certified, in capsules and drink mix. Neither competitor lists Informed Sport certification.

  5. Your choice of format

Capsules or a grape drink mix, at the same price. The others are capsules only.

  6. The highest-grade ingredients at the same price

ReVasca™ uses the highest-strength extracts we can source, such as 85% fucoidan and standardized ViNitrox®, at full, research-based amounts. That makes it a more costly formula to produce, but because our goal is helping people improve their health, we have kept it at $99.95, about the same price as a bottle of Arterosil HP® or Endocalyx™ Pro. You get more for the same money.*

Why grape counts as nitric-oxide support for ReVasca™ only: ViNitrox® is a standardized apple and grape polyphenol ingredient with its own published nitric-oxide studies. The grape extracts in Arterosil HP® and Endocalyx™ Pro state no strength and no nitric-oxide data on their labels or websites.

Arterosil HP® figures were checked against calroy.com and authorized retailers. Endocalyx™ Pro figures were checked against microvascular.com, endocalyxpro.com and retailer label listings. The Endocalyx™ Pro column reflects its current label only. Prices are each maker’s own list prices before tax and shipping. What’s inside

Seven actives, three jobs

All three formulas lean on a sulphated polysaccharide from seaweed, because those molecules resemble the glycosaminoglycans that make up much of the glycocalyx. ReVasca™ then adds what the vessel wall needs around it: support for the signal to relax, and protection from oxidative stress.*

The science behind the category

We didn’t join this category. We started it.

Several companies now sell glycocalyx supplements. Much of the science they point to traces back to Dr. Hans Vink’s research and to GlycoCheck™, the measurement system he developed and that he and Robert Long have placed in research hospitals since 2012. It isn’t hopeful thinking. It is more than 25 years of published research.

By the numbers

Google Scholar, 26 October 2026: Dr. Vink has 286 published works, cited 19,133 times. 184 of them are on the glycocalyx itself, cited 14,794 times. 47 of his papers have each been cited more than 100 times, and 9 more than 500 times. His h-index is 56.

Measure it, then support it

When Robert Long and Dr. Vink joined forces, the plan was simple. GlycoCheck™ shows the breakdown of the glycocalyx, and Robert Long kept helping to develop it. The supplements answer the question that came next: “So what do you do about it?” ReVasca™ is the latest answer, offered alongside GlycoCheck™ measurement by the same team.

Journal of Cardiovascular Translational Research 2022;15:890–902.

The research behind the formula. Dr. Vink’s own work underpins two of ReVasca™’s choices: hyaluronic acid in the glycocalyx is needed for shear-induced nitric-oxide release (American Journal of Physiology – Heart 2003; cited 488 times), and L-citrulline restored nitric-oxide production and the microcirculation better than arginine in an experimental model (PLoS One 2012;7:e37439; cited 180 times).*

The pattern is the same across these studies: when the glycocalyx breaks down, the capillaries follow, and that breakdown appears in condition after condition that researchers have measured. That is why we built a formula aimed at the glycocalyx, and why we offer a way to measure it.

These studies measured the glycocalyx and the microcirculation. They did not test ReVasca™ or any other supplement. The full list is in our research library.

The lineage

From Arterosil to ReVasca™: each formula a step forward

ReVasca™ is not a copy of an existing product. Each formula in this line improved on the last, based on what research with GlycoCheck™ and measured customers taught us.

  1. Before 2012

    Arterosil

Robert Long develops his first glycocalyx-support formula. Arterosil is now owned and marketed by Calroy Health Sciences.

  2. 2012–2014

GlycoCheck™ and the move to fucoidan

Robert Long seeks out Dr. Hans Vink to measure the formula’s effect, and hires him as an independent researcher. From 2012 they also begin placing GlycoCheck™ in research hospitals.

In Dr. Vink’s lab, the 85% brown-seaweed fucoidan extract still used in ReVasca™ today was tested in an animal model in which the glycocalyx is first damaged. White blood cells stopped sticking to the vessel wall, and the glycocalyx began to recover. That work, and laboratory research showing that fucoidan blocks the enzymes that break the glycocalyx down, moved the formulas from Arterosil’s green seaweed (Monostroma nitidum) to fucoidan, at the highest extract strength they could source (85%).

  3. 2012 to today

    Endocalyx™ Pro

Work on the second formula begins in 2012: a significant upgrade on Arterosil, built on the 85% fucoidan extract rather than green seaweed. Endocalyx™ Pro is marketed today by MicroVascular Health Solutions and is not a GlycoCalyx Research Institute product. Robert Long and Dr. Vink have had no part in making it since 2023.

  4. 2024 to today

    ReVasca™

The third formula, enhanced and improved, formulated by Robert Long and Dr. Hans Vink at the GlycoCalyx Research Institute. It keeps the same 85% fucoidan extract, at a higher dose.

What changed from Endocalyx™ Pro to ReVasca™

Why we left out glucosamine. Glucosamine is listed first on Endocalyx™ Pro’s label; in the formula we developed it was 1,500 mg a serving, more than half the blend. Many adults, especially older adults, already take that much glucosamine for joint support. So ReVasca™ leaves it out and uses the room for ingredients they’re unlikely to be getting elsewhere:

What we used the room for

  • L-citrullinewhich the body converts to L-arginine, the precursor for nitric oxide. Dr. Vink’s own research found L-citrulline restored nitric-oxide production better than arginine in an experimental model.*
  • Vascaman™ organic inner-leaf aloe veraaloe polysaccharides that support the glycocalyx and healthy immune function.*
  • More fucoidan and hyaluronic acidmore of the same 85% fucoidan extract, and more hyaluronic acid, per serving than the original Endocalyx™ formula.
  • About three and a half times the antioxidant enzymessuperoxide dismutase and catalase per serving, against the last Endocalyx™ formula we made (2023): the pair that helps protect the vessel lining from oxidative stress.*

Why ViNitrox® replaced olive leaf, artichoke leaf and grape seed

  • Those plant extracts supplied antioxidant polyphenols.
  • ViNitrox® is a standardized apple and grape polyphenol ingredient: a consistent, tested extract with a high polyphenol content and its own published nitric-oxide studies.
  • Supporting nitric oxide was one of our goals for the formula, so we used that room for ViNitrox®.*
  • Also newa drink-mix format as well as capsules, and Informed Sport certification for both.

The result is an enhanced and improved formula. It is not the same formula.

Fair and square

Where they agree, and what to weigh

Where they agree

  • The endothelial glycocalyx matters for vascular health, and each product is built around a sulphated polysaccharide from seaweed.
  • Each is a one-month supply of 30 servings, about $100 for a single bottle, and a dietary supplement, not a medicine.
  • None replaces the basics. Daily movement, balanced meals, sleep and stress recovery matter most, and all three are meant to sit on top of them.

Things to weigh

  • SoyReVasca™’s superoxide dismutase is an extract from soybeans. It may contain only trace amounts of soy, but the FDA requires soy to be listed on the label, so ours says “Contains Soy”. Most people won’t be affected by trace amounts. Arterosil HP® is stated to be soy-free, so if you have a soy allergy, talk to your practitioner before choosing.
  • PriceOn subscription and on three-month supplies, Endocalyx™ Pro costs less: $79.95 a month against ReVasca™’s $89.96. For that $10, ReVasca™ adds nitric-oxide support, catalase alongside superoxide dismutase, fucoidan verified at 85% by certificate of analysis, and Informed Sport testing. If you want nitric-oxide support with Arterosil HP®, it needs a second product, which brings it to $151–168 a month.
  • ReturnsArterosil HP® carries a 45-day money-back guarantee. ReVasca™ takes back unopened product within 30 days; opened product is not returned, though we will help if it is not working for you.
  • Capsule countArterosil HP® is 2 capsules a day; ReVasca™ and Endocalyx™ Pro are 4, and ReVasca™ also comes as one scoop of drink mix.
  • EvidenceNo study has compared these three products head to head.
Questions

What people ask when comparing them

Is ReVasca™ the same product as Arterosil HP® or Endocalyx™ Pro?

No. They are different formulas from different companies. What they share is a line of research: Robert Long developed the original Arterosil, then brought in Dr. Hans Vink and GlycoCheck™ to measure it; Endocalyx™ Pro followed as an upgrade, built on fucoidan after research in Dr. Vink’s lab, and ReVasca™ is an enhanced and improved formula with major changes. Arterosil HP® is made and sold today by Calroy Health Sciences; Endocalyx™ Pro is sold by MicroVascular Health Solutions.

Why does ReVasca™ contain seven ingredients?

Because the glycocalyx doesn’t work alone. It needs building blocks (fucoidan, hyaluronic acid, aloe polysaccharides), the signal that lets vessels relax and open (nitric oxide, supported by L-citrulline and ViNitrox®), and protection from the oxidative stress that wears it down (catalase and superoxide dismutase). ReVasca™ is designed to cover all three.*

Can I switch, or take two together?

Talk to your practitioner before changing or combining supplements, especially if you take prescription medication (in particular blood-pressure or anticoagulant medication) or are pregnant or nursing. All three are built around a seaweed polysaccharide, so taking two mostly doubles up on the same kind of ingredient.

Does ReVasca™ contain soy or gluten?

ReVasca™ is gluten-free, vegan and non-GMO. Its superoxide dismutase, an antioxidant enzyme, is an extract from soybeans (Glycine max). The extract may contain only trace amounts of soy, and most people won’t be affected by them. But the FDA requires any ingredient that comes from a major food allergen to be listed, so our label says “Contains Soy”. If you have a soy allergy, talk to your practitioner before taking it.

How can I compare ingredient quality?

Ask each maker for a certificate of analysis for the current batch. It shows what’s actually in the ingredients, such as the strength of a seaweed extract. ReVasca™’s fucoidan is verified at 85%+. Neither Arterosil HP® nor Endocalyx™ Pro publishes its extract strength.

What is the difference between fucoidan and rhamnan sulfate?

Both are sulphated polysaccharides from seaweed, and both resemble the glycosaminoglycans that make up much of the glycocalyx. Fucoidan comes from brown seaweed (ReVasca™ uses Laminaria japonica at 85%+ extract strength, and Endocalyx™ Pro also uses fucoidan); rhamnan sulfate comes from a green seaweed, Monostroma nitidum, and is the basis of Arterosil HP®’s MonitumRS®. Research in Dr. Vink’s lab is why our formulas moved to fucoidan at the highest extract strength we could source.

What does GlycoCheck™ measure?

GlycoCheck™ uses a small camera under the tongue to film blood flow through the smallest vessels and give a score for the microvascular glycocalyx, in a few minutes and without needles. Find a GlycoCheck™ location →
