ReVasca™ vs Arterosil HP®

Comparison · ReVasca™ vs Arterosil HP®

Two glycocalyx supplements. One shared beginning.

Arterosil was the first formula Robert Long developed with Dr. Hans Vink to support the endothelial glycocalyx. It is made and sold today by another company. ReVasca™ is the Institute’s third-generation formula, built on twelve more years of research and measured with the same GlycoCheck™ imaging used in the published studies. Here is how the two compare, fact by fact.

Arterosil HP® and MonitumRS® are registered trademarks of Calroy Health Sciences, LLC, which is not affiliated with the GlycoCalyx Research Institute. Arterosil details are taken from Calroy’s public website and authorized-retailer listings, checked October 2026.

The short version

Same goal. Different generation, breadth and proof.

Both products exist because the endothelial glycocalyx — the thin, sugar-rich gel lining every blood vessel — is worth protecting. The differences are in who makes them, what is in them, and whether the result can be measured.

Origin

Arterosil laid the groundwork. Further research led to Endocalyx Pro in 2012, and twelve more years of research produced ReVasca™. Robert Long and Dr. Hans Vink, who developed the original formula, formulate and validate ReVasca™ at the GlycoCalyx Research Institute.

Formula

Arterosil HP® is built around one active: rhamnan sulfate from a green seaweed, in a 900 mg blend with fruit and vegetable extracts. ReVasca™ capsules carry a 2,750 mg blend of seven actives chosen against the Institute’s five-lever brief: nitric oxide signalling, oxidative-stress buffering, healthy inflammatory tone, healthy blood viscosity, and building blocks for the glycocalyx mesh.*

Measurement

ReVasca™ comes from the team that built GlycoCheck™, the non-invasive imaging system used in hundreds of peer-reviewed studies. You can measure your own microvascular health before and after, rather than take anyone’s word for it.

What’s inside

Seven actives versus one.

Both formulas lean on a sulphated polysaccharide from seaweed, because those molecules resemble the glycosaminoglycans that make up much of the glycocalyx. ReVasca™ then adds what the vessel wall needs around it: the signal to relax, and protection from oxidative stress.*

The lineage

From Arterosil to ReVasca™

ReVasca™ is not a copy of an existing product. It is the latest refinement in a line of formulas from the same two people, each informed by what GlycoCheck™ measurements taught them.

  1. First formula

    Arterosil

Robert Long, working with Dr. Hans Vink, develops the first glycocalyx-support formula. It lays the groundwork for everything that follows. Arterosil is now owned and marketed by Calroy Health Sciences.

  2. 2012

    Endocalyx Pro & GlycoCheck™

Further research leads to Endocalyx Pro. The same year, Dr. Vink and Robert Long begin placing GlycoCheck™ in academic research hospitals to measure the glycocalyx directly.

  3. 2012–2024

    Twelve years of measurement

GlycoCheck™ reaches 140+ research hospitals worldwide. Dr. Vink’s publications pass 250 papers and 16,000 citations, and the Institute co-authors mechanistic work on fucoidan-containing glycocalyx supplements.

  4. Today

    ReVasca™

The third and latest formula: seven actives for the glycocalyx, nitric oxide and antioxidant defence, in capsules or a grape drink mix, Informed Sport certified, and measurable with GlycoCheck™.*

In plain terms

Where they agree, and where they part ways

Where they agree

  • The endothelial glycocalyx is central to vascular health, and a supplement can be designed to support it.*
  • A sulphated polysaccharide from seaweed is a sensible core ingredient: rhamnan sulfate in Arterosil HP®, fucoidan in ReVasca™.
  • Both are one-month containers of 30 servings, made in the USA under GMP, and priced around $100 a month at list.
  • Both carry the standard FDA structure/function disclaimer, and neither is a medicine.
  • Neither replaces the basics. Daily movement, balanced meals, sleep and stress recovery do more for the endothelium than any capsule, and both products are meant to sit on top of them.

Where ReVasca™ goes further

  • Seven actives and 2,750 mg per four-capsule serving versus one active in a 900 mg blend: substrates for the glycocalyx, plus nitric oxide support and antioxidant enzymes.*
  • Two formats, capsules or grape drink mix, at the same price.
  • Informed Sport certification on every batch of both formats, on top of GMP manufacturing.
  • A way to verify: GlycoCheck™ imaging from the same team, so the change can be measured on you.
  • Subscribe & save 10% on every order, with 30-day returns on unopened products.
Questions

What people ask when comparing the two

Is ReVasca™ the same product as Arterosil?

No. They are different formulas from different companies. What they share is a beginning: the original Arterosil was developed by Robert Long with Dr. Hans Vink, and the two of them went on to formulate Endocalyx Pro and then ReVasca™ at the GlycoCalyx Research Institute. Arterosil HP® is made and sold today by Calroy Health Sciences.

Why does ReVasca™ contain seven ingredients instead of one?

Because the glycocalyx does not work alone. It needs building blocks (fucoidan, hyaluronic acid, aloe polysaccharides), the signal that lets vessels relax and open (nitric oxide, supported by L-Citrulline and ViNitrox®), and protection from the oxidative stress that degrades it (catalase and superoxide dismutase). ReVasca™ is designed to cover all three, from the large arteries to the capillaries.*

Can I switch from Arterosil HP® to ReVasca™?

Many customers have. If you take prescription medication, particularly blood-pressure or anticoagulant medication, or you are pregnant or nursing, talk to your practitioner before changing any supplement. If you have access to a GlycoCheck™ location, a baseline test before you switch gives you something objective to compare against after three months.

Should I take both?

We do not recommend stacking glycocalyx supplements. Both are built around a seaweed polysaccharide, so taking both mostly doubles the same ingredient class. Choose one, take it daily for at least three months, and measure.

Does ReVasca™ contain soy or gluten?

ReVasca™ is gluten-free and non-GMO. It contains soy, because its superoxide dismutase is derived from Glycine max. Arterosil HP® is stated by Calroy to be soy-free, so if you have a soy allergy this is a real difference to weigh.

How do I know it is working?

Measure it. GlycoCheck™ films blood flow through the capillaries under your tongue and scores your microvascular health in about three minutes, without needles. Test before you start; clinics typically retest between six and twelve weeks, and practitioners often see microvascular indices begin to move within the first one to three months. Many people report earlier, subjective signals first — warmer hands and feet, a more even energy curve through the day, better exercise endurance — but those are hints, not proof. Consistency matters more than timing. Find a GlycoCheck location →

Where does Endocalyx Pro fit in?

Endocalyx Pro is the second-generation formula in the same line. It followed Arterosil in 2012 and emphasised glycocalyx building blocks; it is marketed by Microvascular Health Solutions and is not a GlycoCalyx Research Institute product. ReVasca™ is the third generation and its successor, adding nitric oxide support and antioxidant enzymes to the glycocalyx substrates.*

Is there a best time of day to take ReVasca™?

Take the full daily serving — four capsules, with or without food (the label suggests two in the morning and two later), or one scoop in water — at whatever time you will keep to. Many people take it with breakfast or split it morning and evening; some prefer earlier in the day to align with activity. Consistency is what moves the measurement, not the hour.
